Title: BUDOVANIE NÁDEJE PRI RIEŠENÍ KLIMATICKEJ ÚZKOSTI
Author: Patrícia Gajdošociová
Abstract: BUILDING HOPE IN ADDRESSING CLIMATE ANXIETY Abstract: Climate anxiety could be simply described as concern about climate change. It is associated with the perception of climate change, it occurs even in people who have not personally experienced any direct effects of climate change and has a paralyzing effect on action in favor of the climate. There is no diagnosis of climate anxiety yet, but we can spot its specific symptoms. Learning to manage climate anxiety is most effective by building hope, which is an essential part of supporting mental health in times of climate crisis. Joanna Macy’s process of building active hope can help you experience and understand emotions, build personal strength, motivate action, and respond responsibly to the pressing challenges of our time, including the climate crisis. |
