Abstract: The clinical role of APC promoter methylation in patients with bladder cancer remains to be determined. The relevant databases (PubMed, EMBASE, EBSCO, WANFANG DATA, CNKI and Cochrane Library) were searched to get eligible studies. The overall odds ratios (ORs) and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were calculated to assess the effects of APC promoter methylation on bladder cancer risk and clinicopathological features. 2214 patients with bladder cancer and 665 controls were identified. APC promoter methylation was significantly higher in bladder cancer than in non-malignant tissue and urine samples (tissue: OR=11.14, 95% CI=4.29–28.91, p
